Welcome to the Senior Adult Ministry

Tim & Sandi Martin

Pastor Tim Martin and his wife Sandi have been ministering to the Senior Adults at FBCM for almost four years. They have a tremendous love for these folks and that love is always returned to them ten-fold by these wonderful Senior Adults. According to Pastor Tim, “This special group of wise and mature folks minister to me each day, and they have been a tremendous blessing to my family and me”.

The senior adult years can be the most fruitful years for God's service, and the legacy we leave behind is often based upon our ability to finish well. First Baptist Church of Middleburg offers opportunities for fellowship and ministry to all mature adults. Great activities and wonderful Family LIFE Group classes help mature adults connect to God, connect to other Christians, and connect to the lost world around them. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the following activities.

Family LIFE Groups

Senior adults can choose from a variety of Family LIFE Groups. Find a class and come on Sunday mornings for a great time of fellowship and Bible study. Stop by the Welcome Center and one of our friendly greeters will show you to your class, or contact Pastor Tim Martin for more information.

General Bible Study and Prayer Meeting

Held each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. Take a tour through the Bible and learn more about what our Savior has to say as taught by our pastoral staff or retired pastors.

Monday Night Fellowships

Meet the second Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. or noon for a potluck dinner in the Worship Center. Great food, fellowship and entertainment are on the menu as we come together and get to know each other. Contact Pastor Tim at (904) 282-5289 for more information.

Journey Singers Choir

A ministry that brings music and devotionals to convalescent homes in the area. Journey Singers Choir meets on Thursdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Choir Room.

Silver Sneakers Exercise Program

An exercise ministry specifically targeting senior adults. The program concentrates on muscular strength and range-of-motion, cardio circuit, low-impact aerobics, and flexibility. Silver Sneakers is taught by certified YMCA instructors on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on the second floor of our Education Building. 17^th – 18^th Savannah Taste Tasting Tour (Cost: $120 - All Inclusive) Depart the Church at 7:30 a.m.

17^th – Dinner and Nutcracker Ballet in Jacksonville
